Absolutely fallen in love with the beautiful, intricate and dreamful work of David Downton. I have to admit I have never heard or seen his designs previously, but recently whilst searching fashion illustrations I uncovered the fine pieces.

Eye Popping: Blue

Blue is the mood for Spring Summer 2014, according to beauty insiders and artists who patented the shade on some of the most famous catwalks this year. The palette included shades of aqua, azure, sapphire and sky, re-inventing the colour from the eighties. 

The style was either a flash of the colour across the lid, edgy blue pencil statements or bold blocks of the colour to update the design. The shows it was seen on included; Marc by Marc Jacobs, Zoe Jordan, Miu Miu and Tess Gibberson. 

A little early for summer Ciate?

The weathers chilly and we're all still wearing our winter warmers but Ciate London have just launched their Flower Manicure collection.

I do love the pieces and how creative the wearer can be, as its a little bit hippy at heart and so personal.

Available in two colour options each kit contains a 5ml nail polish, fast dry top coat, nail file, tweezers and two pots of coloured dried flowers. 

You can layer different flowers, use on each nail or just simply to accent fingers. If you enjoy being creative and have plenty of time then go for it.

The kits will be available from this Spring, priced at £18.00 each. 

Nudie Jeans

Last week was one of my final deadlines for final year and the project was based around the menswear brand, Nudie Jeans.

Nudie are a Swedish company based in Gothenberg and over the past 15 years have really grown in popularity, across Europe, America and Australia. I came across this brand whilst on my placement year and was interested by their simple, sustainable designs and rich Swedish culture. It was then that I decided to base my Final Major project around Nudie.

Nudie are stocked within independent stores across the UK in around 135 shops..it was my interest in the brand that made me wonder if they could make the move to the UK retail market with a standalone store. Within the project I produced a marketing report to discover whether the move would be a success and also created marketing material for the current season along with the store design.

It's that time of the year with only 19 days till Christmas and stores begin to decorate their windows with all their beautiful festive decorations. I have looked into window displays of brands that I am focusing on within my Case Study which are Aquascutum, Paul Smith, Jaeger and Mulberry: British brands and their heritage!!

I have also included a cheeky pic of my Christmas tree this year....lovely!! xx

Four Magazine Launches

Hi guys, I realised recently that I have been so busy and my blog (that was looking quite substantial) has been left for far too long. So I have made a promise to myself that I must make a post atleast once a week ha!
Well now that I am back at university for my final year it's all go! Just the other day we had our first project hand-in which was to produce a magazine in a short period of just 6 weeks. The magazine needed to be able to offer something new to the market, so myself and my group produced a magazine for the established, creative female.....which we named Four x

Newbies at Kidston

There seems to be some rather charming purchases at Cath Kidston at the moment, maybe a few new year purchases are on the cards. I'm loving the Daisy chain crystal bracelet....its so cute especially if you mixed it with other pieces you may already have.

I'm also loving the floral tapestry purse...it's very me and would definitely fit my clutch on a night out.
